It's almost that time of the year again where Amazon discounts loads of products for their Prime Day sales – and one of the most popular categories that see huge offers are their range of streaming devices like the Fire Stick.
Amazon Fire TV Sticks can hold all your favourite apps, from Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, Spotify and countless more that you can access with a click of a button (or with voice control with Alexa) to instantly stream your desired content.
While many TVs have smart features, not all sets do, and a Fire Stick is a great way to keep all your apps in one place – they're handy for travelling too, as they're portable enough to stuff into a bag if you're going on holiday and want all your streaming services ready to go by simply plugging it into a TV.

Best Prime Day Fire TV Stick Deals
The big Prime Day 2022 event officially kicks off on Tuesday, July 12, with Early Prime Day Deals starting on Tuesday, June 21, and discounts for Amazon brand products on Friday, July 8 according to Amazon – in the meantime here are a list of Fire Stick and Fire Cube devices that will most likely see a price drop.
At a glance, here are all the Fire Stick and Fire Cube products:
- Fire TV Stick Lite £29.99
- Fire TV Stick £39.99
- Fire TV Stick 4K £49.99
- Fire TV Stick 4K Max £54.99
- Fire TV Cube £109.99
First up, we have the 4K edition of the Fire TV Stick, which dropped from £49.99, to £26.99 last year, saving you £23.
This is a good option if you have a 4K TV at home and want to stream your favourite shows in ultra HD, his-res quality. This is one of the most popular streaming sticks Amazon offer and is the perfect way to upgrade your streaming capabilities.
Next we have the same device but with an Alexa Voice Remote + Mission USB Power Cable, which last year saw a discount to £46.98, helping you save £24.
The inclusion of the Mission USB Power Cable means you won't need a plug socket to keep your streaming services running – all you'll need is a TV with second USB port and you can use the TV to keep the device going.
The Fire TV Stick 4K Max is Amazon's most powerful streaming stick which is 40% more powerful than the regular 4K Fire Stick, with a 2GB memory compared to the 1.5GB of the 4K model, support for live view picture-in-picture and Wi-Fi 6 support. If you want the best streaming stick Amazon offer, this is it.
This is the basic Fire Stick model. If you don't have a 4K TV or intend to stream on something that doesn't support 4K, this might be the option for you. It still supports full HD and includes all of the apps every Fire Stick offers.
The Fire TV Stick Lite is the most affordable and basic model of Amazon's streaming devices. Unlike the Fire TV Stick 4K, the Alexa Remote Lite doesn't have dedicated power, volume and mute buttons. However, it still offers Full HD streaming and the usual access to apps, Alexa skills and channels, plus the same ease of setup.
Best Fire Cube Deals
The Fire TV Cube is a more powerful system than the sticks above, and allows you to go completely hands free with Alexa, controlling your TV, soundbar, and all your streaming services at once with voice control.
You get 4K streaming on your TV, and you can use Alexa voice control to navigate menus, adjust the volume of your home cinema set-up, and find the shows you want to watch.
We will keep this page updated with all deals as they go live, so keep this article tabbed to get the best price when they land.
What is Amazon Prime Day?
Anybody who has ever bought something from Amazon will likely know what Prime Day is, as it's the first major chance of the year to grab a discount from the online store.
Every year in the summer, thousands of gadgets and gizmos drop in price for a short period, helping you pick up a few treats for a lower price than usual.
Calling it Prime Day is actually a tad deceptive, as the sale has often stretched over two days, lasting anywhere between 36 and 48 hours, but that does mean you'll have plenty of time to browse and find your bargains. This year, Prime Day will stretch for the full 48-hour period, which is more than enough time to get a deal or two.
Amazon splits up its deals into different categories to help you find what you want. There will be sale-long deals that will last the whole two days. These are typically on their own products like the Echo smart speakers, or Fire TV sticks.
Then there are lightning deals that deliver huge discounts for just an hour or two that can be on anything from toothbrushes and games consoles, to gym clothes and kitchenware.
When is Amazon Prime Day 2022?
Prime Day 2022 will start at one minute past midnight on July 12 and will last until midnight on June 13, lasting a full two days.
Amazon are also promoting Early Prime Day Deals that are set to begin on Tuesday, June 25, with discounts on Amazon brand products announced for Friday, July 8.
As has happened in the past, some gadgets will have discounts applied to them in the weeks leading up to the big event, and Amazon might even start offering deals on its own-brand products like the Kindle, Fire TV sticks, or Echo smart speakers, giving you the chance to save some money ahead of time.
How do I sign up to Amazon Prime?
To take advantage of these deals and the whole sales period, you'll need to subscribe to Amazon Prime, which will unlock exclusive offers during Prime Day, as well as give you free next-day delivery on all your purchases.
It's £7.99 a month to sign up to this service, or you can pay £79 for the whole year upfront. There is a 30-day free trial if you're signing up for the first time (you'll need to use a unique email address and credit/debit card to take advantage) but you'll be charged as soon as your month is up.
Most deals won't show up for you if you haven't signed up to Prime, so we do suggest you at least get a free trial just to see what kind of deals are available.
As mentioned, Digital Spy will keep up with all the best deals across the sale period, and you can interact with us on Twitter or on Instagram @digitalspy.
