Next week on Neighbours, David's new home in jail proves to be just as dangerous as everyone feared, while Jane's son Byron's scandalous side gig causes him problems.
Here are 11 Neighbours spoilers to look forward to next week.
1. Glen and Kiri take positive steps
Glen was determined to fight his addiction withdrawals and be there for Kiri at her birthday party, but he was forced to come up with an excuse and bail out at the last minute – only for Kiri to catch him out.
Glen knows that the only chance he has to make things right is to be honest with her about his problems. Telling her is a wise move as it brings them closer.
Kiri makes it clear that she doesn't want him to be a dad, but she is open to them becoming friends. Will this be what Glen needs to hear to pull himself out of this bad patch?
2. Terese gets ammo against Paul
Paul's investment in Sapiko & Bazz Holdings has been one of many points of contention in his divorce with Terese, and she learns exactly what he has been doing next week.
When it is revealed that the company has gone bust, Terese is suspicious and, thanks to Toadie and Byron, she learns that it was only ever a cover to hide assets.
Armed with this information, Terese begins the hunt for a way to prove it – and to ruin the latest of Paul's schemes in the process…
3. Mackenzie continues to struggle
Outwardly, Mackenzie seems like she is coping well after Hendrix's death, but we learn next week that she is nowhere near as close to dealing with it all as she makes out.
Sadie, who has been feeling guilty over her involvement in what happened, writes a letter to Mack. Mackenzie accepts the letter and Sadie is relieved, but when she leaves, Mackenzie furiously tears it up and breaks down – Sadie is not even close to being forgiven yet.
4. Byron's shock side gig is revealed
Jane was delighted when her son, Byron, made a surprise arrival in Erinsborough, but he is harbouring a secret that will stun her when she finds out.
While working with Toadie at Rebecchi Law, Byron seems distracted and has a habit of vanishing for long periods of time. It turns out that working with Toadie is not his only job and on the side, he is also a gigolo.
Will Byron be able to keep his secret, and what will his family say if/when they learn the truth?
5. Amy experiences dating woes
With Zara certain that her mum has deeper feelings for Toadie than she is letting on, Amy is hellbent on proving her wrong and continues to dip her toes in the dating world.
Amy thinks that she is off to a good start when she gets a date with a man named Barry and the two get on really well. Unfortunately for Amy though, it turns out that Barry is married, and she finds herself back at square one – is love on the horizon for Amy, and could it be with her old friend, Toadie?
6. Paul and Terese accept the end of their marriage
It has not been the nicest of break-ups between Paul and Terese, and Paul's nasty side has been on full display many times over the last year. But next week sees the couple finally come to an understanding – and an acceptance that there is no way back for them as a married couple.
The sticking point has been assets and Paul decides to cut his losses and offer a good deal to buy her out of the hotel – and Terese is quick to accept. It seems that Paul and Terese's marriage really is over for good.
7. David struggles behind bars
David has been held in remand after the debacle of the ill-fated boat trip away, and he is struggling to handle his new living conditions locked up in jail. To make matters worse, his friends and family soon learn that he is being held at a maximum-security facility.
Paul is deeply concerned for his son's safety and warns him that he will need to keep his wits about him if he wants to stay safe. And it turns out that Paul was right as David is about to run into somebody that looks set to make things far worse for him.
8. Melanie struggles with memories of Sonya
It is difficult to be around Toadie and not be reminded of Sonya, what with a giant mural of her at Lassiters and her being one of the most beloved residents that Ramsay Street has ever had.
Sonya's memory proves to be a tough thing for Melanie to navigate next week when she starts to feel as though she can never live up to it.
Mel confides in Amy about her worries, and that filters back to Toadie who has a proper conversation with her about his late wife. Will he say what Mel needs to hear to put it all behind her?
9. Nicolette and Kiri grow closer
Chloe and Kiri continue to work on their relationship next week, but the spark that they once had continues to prove hard to recapture. Needing a cheer up after what is happening with David, Chloe turns to Kiri but anything romantic is a non-starter when the mood fails to work for them.
Kiri ends up bumping into Nicolette and asks her if she wants to join her at church, and Nic agrees. Will Kiri end up growing closer to Nicolette once again?
10. Friends and family worry for David
David is in a dire situation in prison and those at home are desperate to do something to help him.
Paul uses his money to try and help by paying his old foe, Holden, to keep an eye on him, but things quickly deteriorate, and everyone realises that there is nothing they can do to save David from a dangerous situation.
That changes though when Freya is contacted by Emma, Gareth's ex, who proposes an offer that will help him, but can she be trusted?
11. Mackenzie attends a grief group
Knowing that she needs help rebuilding her life, Mackenzie agrees to visit a grief counselling group. Grant is insistent on going with her to show support, and he is proud of his daughter when she delivers a speech that shows how well adjusted she is despite all that she has been through.
While she outwardly seems to be doing better, things are different behind closed doors, and she still has a way to go – but will she reach out for help when she needs it?
